A BOLD INITIATIVE - The Heart to Serve
As shared in last month’s newsletter, MERCYworldwide is making service a core part of who we are. This year, we’re calling every Bible Talk group across our 140 churches to take action—committing to a monthly service project in your community.
Invite your family, friends, and neighbors to join you. Imagine the impact—thousands of MERCY Ambassadors, a sea of green, bringing hope and compassion to the world. For Jesus, service wasn’t just an event—it was a way of life. Let’s follow His example and make serving a lifestyle!
MERCY AMBASSADORS: COMPASSION IN ACTION
Excitingly, MERCY Ambassadors around the globe have already begun embracing this call, making a difference in their communities.
Here are just a few inspiring examples of MERCY Ambassadors putting their faith into action:
💚 MERCY Baton Rouge: Empowering At-Risk Youth 💚
MERCY Baton Rouge has been partnering with Sweat in Spirit to mentor at-risk youth every other Saturday. With the city facing high crime rates, our initiative provides young men with valuable life skills and career exposure.
After an energizing workout, we took the kids to a car shop to learn hands-on skills like changing a tire and exploring career opportunities as mechanics. It was a special time of growth and inspiration!
The small groups rotate at each event, and we are praying to impact hundreds—if not thousands—of young lives this year and beyond! 💚 💪 🙏
💚 MERCY Chicago - End Domestic Violence 💚
On March 8, in honor of International Women’s Day, 14 sisters from Chicago’s North Region united to serve with WINGS Program Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending domestic violence through housing, services, and advocacy.
As MERCY Ambassadors we felt it was a great privilege to volunteer at WINGS’ resale store in Niles and logistics center in Elk Grove, sorting and organizing donations that fund vital resources for survivors of domestic violence.
As we continue uplifting women, let’s remember—every act of service, big or small, creates change! Let’s change the world together! 💚 ✨
💚 MERCY New York City - The Joy of Serving is Contagious! 💚
Up bright and early to pray for hearts ready to serve, the spirited MERCY Campus Ambassadors in New York City brought faith-driven service to life at a food pantry in Spanish Harlem.
Their joy was contagious as they served over 200 families, keeping their spirit alive throughout the day through teamwork and uplifting songs.
More than meeting physical needs, the NYC Campus Ambassadors transformed the atmosphere, proving that service fueled by faith impacts lives. 💚
- MERCY Tampa - Ending Hunger -
💚Giving, Sharing Our Faith, and Building Relationships—All While Serving! 💚
Fourteen fired up MERCY Ambassadors were ready and eager to give their absolute best to the community! MERCY lead, Percilla Rolle shared that everyone showed up extra early to pray together and prepare our hearts to serve.
The Feeding Tampa Bay Coordinator, Ashley, shared in tears how grateful she was for the spirit and hard work of the MERCY Ambassadors. A special shout out to the MERCY men, who respectfully helped the elderly carry the boxes of groceries and graciously escorted families to their cars.
It was such a heart warming time to be able to serve the community in this way! We were able to give, serve, share our faith with people, and build new relationships!
Upcoming Events: A Call to Serve
Get ready for one of the most impactful events of the year! This June, we will celebrate the 16th Annual International Day of MERCY, uniting MERCY Ambassadors worldwide to serve their communities. This year’s theme: "The Heart to Serve."
This special day is more than just an event—it’s a global movement of community service with love, compassion, and joy. Across our the world, we will come together to make a difference in our communities, putting our faith into action and showing the world the true power of a servant’s heart.
